Tuathade Policies & Procedures
meetings are held at least once per week in the Guild Hall of Rath Castle in Tara, on Channel 5. They are held every Samhain (Saturday) mid-day and scheduled when the council can all attend. ALL guild members are permitted to attend all guild meetings unless otherwise notified. Meetings last as long as necessary to discuss the current week's agenda and will hold a recess every hour for 15 minutes. AMENDED 01/23/17: Guild meetings will be held as needed and organized thusly.
- ONLY current guild members are permitted to attend any and all guild meetings.
- Guild robes must be worn during all official guild meetings.
- The guild must maintain a minimum of at least 3 council members. Should there be less than 3 council members, the guild leader may enact the executive order to appoint additional council members, of their own discretion, to meet this requirement. Additional council members must be appointed based on the Council Appointment Procedures & Policies.
- Transformations are prohibited during all guild meetings in honor of the founder, Mandovaega.
- Only Council may have the final vote on guild policies.
- Only Council members are permitted to have alternate characters in addition to their main characters within the the guild. Each Council member is limited to one alternate character each. AMENDMENT 01/24/17: In the event that a council member's alternate character prevents additional membership, council members are immediately required to remove their alternate characters from the guild in order to provide room for the additional membership.
- Council members absent for four or more weeks will have their authority suspended until they return.
- All council members hold equal power in regards to instating, amending, abolishing, and enforcing any and all official guild policies, procedures, and codes of conduct. Only the designated guild officer and guild leader have the administrative powers to immediately manage guild functions in game.
- Members must use their main character within the guild. Exceptions are made when permission is granted following a hearing with the Council. A member must prove they can be active in the guild using their alternate character.
All voting must be unanimous. If a member is not present during voting, they forfeit their vote for the matter at hand. AMENDMENT 01/23/17: as per the guild reformation of December 2016, voting will follow the Guild Hierarchy, where Squad Leaders conduct voting within their respective squads and present their group vote to their respective Council member. Council members will then discuss voter results before making any final decisions.
- I
f membership is at or exceeds 10:1 ratio of members to council, then council members will be assigned to represent a certain group of members during guild meetings. This way, all members will have their input. AMENDMENT 01/24/17: as of the guild reformation of December 2016, if membership exceeds 24:1 ratio of members+squad leaders to council, then one additional council member will be elected from the pool of current squad leaders.
- Tuathade is strictly NOT a merchant guild. Any discussion of buying or selling items in the guild chat, or outside of the designated area on the guild forums is prohibited. Any item offered within these areas must be presented without the intent of compensation. Any form of compensation MUST be discussed elsewhere.
Channel 5 is the designated channel of Tuathade and is where we conduct the majority of guild affairs. AMENDMENT 01/24/17: Unless it is decided upon in the future, the guild does not currently have a designated guild channel.
- The Tuathade Council reserves the right to amend, add, or remove any content from legitimate guild documentation. It is the responsibility of each guild member to check the forums for content update and we reserve the right to enforce our policies where necessary.
- Members of Tuathade are required to inform council via a private message OR a post in the Coming & Going board of any known absence that will last more than 5 days. Should a member fail to inform council of an absence that will last more than 5 consecutive days, they will immediately fall into inactivity probation, wherein, they will be issued a warning after two weeks of inactivity. Upon the fourth week of inactivity, the member will be immediately expelled from the guild. Should this member return and wish to reapply to the guild, they will first be required to undergo a hearing with the council. Inactivity will be measured, in part, by the in game guild login information, the guild forums login information, and discord activity.
AMENDMENT 04/18/17: DO NOT inform of any absences in the guild discord erinn channel (or any text channel for that matter). Private messages on discord, notes/mail in mabi, a private message on the forums, or a post in the Coming & Going thread are the ONLY acceptable ways to inform of any absences.
- Should a member wish to transfer into a new squad, they are first required to have the permission of both their current squad leader and the squad leader of the squad they wish to transfer into. Once permission is given, both squad leaders must submit a report to any council member to document the change of squads. Upon transferring into the new squad, the member's new squad leader is required to administer at least one trial. (more trials may be required at the discretion of the squad leader)
- Council members are strictly prohibited from using the discord squad channels outside of their respective jurisdictions.
- Council members are prohibited from overseeing more than 3 squads.
