Recruitment Policies- all applicants will be tried individually. No two applicants may be tried at the same time. This is to ensure a fair trial for each applicant.
- all solo trials MUST remain private, between the applicant and their squad leader.
per recruitment period we have a maximum of five applicants. This is so we're not overwhelmed with too many people to try at one time. Exceptions can be made provided the entire guild agrees to allow additional applicants upon a unanimous vote. Voting for this will occur during the first guild meeting within the recruitment period. AMENDMENT: So long as the guild leader maintains premium services, applicants may be tried on a rolling basis. Should the guild leader lose their premium services, and thus losing access to guild management, and the guild officer is unable to fulfill their duties, specifically their admin privileges to accept and remove members, then the recruitment period(@) will be in effect until the guild leader has restored their premium services, or until the guild officer can return to their duties [above]. The recruitment period no longer has a restriction on the number of applicants.
all applicants are required to have a sponsor to have trials. Only Council Members and Squad Leaders are permitted to sponsor an applicant. Sponsors are required to accompany their applicants during every one of their trials, excluding the optional council trials. AMENDED: as of the guild reformation of December 2016, Squad Leaders are responsible for administering trials for their applicants. AMENDED: 03/03/17 - trials will follow the recruitment model in place as of March 3, 2017. Please refer to the recruitment Introduction thread for details.
- all applicants are required to submit all of the necessary documentation for their application.
- AMENDED 01/2017: should an applicant fail to log in for a full consecutive week*** during their recruitment period(*), their application will be terminated and must
wait until the next recruitment period to apply undergo a council hearing should they wish to reapply. Their right to reapply is at the sole discretion of the council with their collective decision being absolute. No exceptions.
- AMENDED 01/2017, AMENDED 03/03/2017: Should a Squad Leader or Council member fail to log in for a
prolonged amount of time full consecutive week*** during the recruitment period(*), the applicant will be granted another sponsor be required to select another bid of membership from another Council member/Squad Leader, and may be subject to redoing trials.
a minimum of one month must pass between recruitment periods to assure new members are well acclimated before adding more. As of the guild reformation act of December 2016, this policy is no longer in effect.
recruitment periods may only begin once all five application spots have been filled. As of the guild reformation act of December 2016, this policy is no longer in effect.
- returning members must be assessed through a hearing with the Council before they may be permitted to reapply. During the hearing they must present why they left the guild, and why they wish to return. Depending on the hearing, returning members may be subject to undergo some or all of the trial process.
- Council Members and Squad Leaders are responsible for their applicants. They are required to accompany and administer each of their applicant's trials.
The Squad Leader is responsible for introducing their applicant to the rest of the guild. The sponsor is responsible for deciding who, from the guild, will attend the group trials AMENDED: as of the guild reformation of December 2016, this portion of the policy is no longer in effect. The Squad Leader is responsible for giving their applicants ample opportunities to interact with the guild outside of their trials. AMENDED: 03/03/2017 - to account for the reformation of the recruitment process.
- Trials are at the sole discretion of the Council Members/Squad Leaders (i.e. - the Council Member/Squad Leader administering the applicant's trial decides what their trial will consist of, be it shadow missions, crafting something, etc.)AMENDED: 03/03/2017 - to account for the reformation of the recruitment process.
- Upon completion of their application, all applicants will immediately be placed in the 30 day trial period. It is during this period that applicant trials will take place. Applicants will not be considered official members of the guild until the end of this period.
notes: *** = (e.g. - 7 days following their most previous login date stated in the guild list) (*) = (30 days, beginning from the date of acceptance into the guild.) (@) = (The recruitment period is the period of time wherein recruits will be unable to physically be in the guild[re: in game guild chat, open access to the guild hall, and the guild name above your character] due to the guild leader's lack of premium service. The recruitment period will last indefinitely until the guild leader's premium service is reinstated.)
